There are many factors that tend to darken our smile, from age to health status. However, there are some foods and drinks that speed up this process, such as coffee, tea and, of course, tobacco, one of the main enemies of our oral health; Likewise, it has been shown that dental darkening does not only occur with the simple passing of the years and by the aging of the teeth due to stains, the wear that this aging brings about and by small micro-traumas that arise in the teeth at throughout life.
In principle, anyone can have teeth whitening as long as they do not suffer from hypersensitivity or cavities. In patients with restorations (crowns or fillings) in the pieces that are to be whitened, it should be taken into account that they must be replaced by others that are suitable for the color achieved.
